Metropolitan National Bank opened in 1970 to serve customers in southwest Little Rock and since that time has experienced tremendous growth. In 1983, Doyle Rogers, a developer known for landmarks such as the Excelsior Hotel and the Statehouse Convention Center, became Chairman and principal owner of the bank. In January 1985, Lunsford W. Bridges joined the bank as President and Chief Executive Officer. Bridges continues in that position today.
